Electronic Materials

WELCOME to the homepage for MTE 208 Introduction to Electronic Materials and Properties. This website is meant as a vehicle to obtain supplemental information for this course. By clicking on the buttons at the top, you can quickly navigate to the general topic areas shown. We will be looking for fundamental structure property performance relationships that are the basis of the performance of electronic, photonic, and magnetic devices. This course has been introduced in response to a request from the ECE Department for a course that specifically deals with the area of materials science that are relevant to the electronics world. Some of these topics include conductivity of metals as conductors, LED's, lasers, and magnetic materials. This course is a prerequisite for ECE 330.
