Configuring Nokia E71x

Settings
1. Go to: "Menu" --> "Settings" --> "Conn. mgr." --> "Available WLAN networks"
2. Use d-pad to highlight "Caltech BeaverNet" and press "Options" --> "Define access point" --> "Yes"
3. Highlight "Internet" and press "Select"
4. Press "Back" --> "Exit" --> "WLAN wiz."
5. Highlight "Caltech BeaverNet" and press "Options" --> "Edit access point"
6. Use the following settings:
   • Connection name: Caltech BeaverNet
   • Data bearer: Wireless LAN
   • WLAN network name: Caltech BeaverNet
   • Network status: public
   • WLAN network mode: Infrastructure
   • WLAN security mode: WPA/WPA2
   • Homepage:
7. Highlight and press "WLAN security config."
8. Use the following settings:
   • WPA/WPA2: EAP
   • WPA2 only mode: Off
9. Hightlight and press "EAP plug-in settings"
10. Select "EAP-PEAP" and press "Options" --> "Enable"
11. Select all others with little numbers in the beginning and press "Options" --> "Disable"
12. Highlight "EAP-PEAP" and press "Options" --> "Edit" or use the d-pad button.
13. Use the following settings:
    • Personal certificate: Not defined
    • Authority certificate: Thawte Premium Server C...
    • User name in use: User defined
    • User name:
    • Realm in use: User defined
    • Realm:
    • TLS privacy: off
    • Allow PEAPv0: yes
    • Allow PEAPv1: yes
    • Allow PEAPv2: yes
14. Press "right" on the d-pad.
15. Select "EAP-MSCHAPv2" and press "Options" --> "Enable"
16. Select all others with little numbers in the beginning and press "Options" --> "Disable"
17. Highlight and press "EAP-MSCHAPv2"
18. Use the following settings:
    • User name:
    • Prompt password: No (or Yes to retype password each time)
    • Password:
19. Press "Back"
20. Press "right" on the d-pad.
21. Select "RSA,AES,SHA", "DHE-RSA,AES,SHA", "DHE-DSS,AES,SHA" and press "Options" --> "Enable"
22. Select all others with check marks and press "Options" --> "Disable"
23. Press "Back" until you reach the "WLAN wizard" screen
24. Highlight "Caltech BeaverNet" and press "Options" or the d-pad button.
25. Press "Start web browsing"
