Jam Room Rules Sheet
As courtesy to our fellow and future members, pursue the Athenian Code:
PLEASE LEAVE THE ROOM AT LEAST AS NICE AS YOU FOUND IT
- Sign-up Guidelines:
- The sign-up calendar is located on the Jam Room door
- You may sign up at most two weeks in advance
- Practice blocks are limited to 4 hours maximum
- Please cross out abandoned time blocks
- Otherwise, feel free to use the Jam Room when no one is scheduled ;-)
- Equipment Storage:
- Personal equipment may be stored behind the curtains
- Please remember to label your own stuff
- Caltech owned equipment is marked with red paint
- Abandoned equipment is automatically donated to the Jam Room
- Borrowing Equipment:
- You MUST clear with a Jam Room manager before borrowing equipment.
- This includes events like Metal Nite and Open Mic Nites
- You must know how to setup and use the gear that you are borrowing (including the PA)
- You may only borrow equipment during a reserved time slot
- Return all gear to the Jam Room as you found it
- New/Broken/Missing Equipment:
- Please let the managers know immediately about broken equipment, so we can fix/replace it
- Feel free to pass on any recomendations for new equipment to the managers
- Report missing equipment to the managers immediately!
- Mailing List:
- Members are encouraged to join the mailing list, jamroom-users @ caltech.edu
- Just email the managers and request to be added. Or visit

- The list is intended as a broadcast service for jamroom news
- The managers will use the list to announce major room changes, new or borrowed equipment, and the like
- Members -- please use the list to announce missing/stolen equipment!
