EndNote 8 is currently available.  However, because of compatibility
issues, our lab will continue using EndNote 6/7.  Compatibility
information is available at,

1)  Install EndNote 7.

      Caltech has a sitewide license for EndNote.  Use the lab CDR
      to install the software, or download the software from,

        https://software.caltech.edu 

2)  Configure EndNote for publishing in the Lester / Dougherty Lab by
    downloading Henry Lester's custom files:

      a)  EndNote Reference Library
          Download this file to the folder, C:\HAL-LAB
            http://orphanin.caltech.edu/~lester/For%20my%20colleagues/EREFS.enl

      b)  EndNote Connection File
          Download this file to the folder, C:\Program Files\Endnote\Connections
            http://orphanin.caltech.edu/~lester/For%20my%20colleagues/PubMed%20(NLM)%20No%20Keywords.enz

      c)  EndNote Filter File 
          Download this file to the folder, C:\Program Files\Endnote\Filters

3)  Run Microsoft Word to confirm the EndNote Add-In works properly.
    For example, you should see the Menu item,
    Tools|EndNote 7|Go to Endnote, and there should be new Endnote
    buttons on the Toolbar.  Try clicking the button, "Go to EndNote",
    and open the EndNote library you downloaded, C:\HAL-LAB\EREFS.enl

    If you cannot see the EndNote toolbar in Microsoft Word, or if the
    EndNote commands under the Tools menu do not work, please follow
    these instructions to fix this problem,
