The Graduate Student Council (GSC), incorporated on April 19, 1985, is the student government for Caltech graduate students, and it is our mission to "work to maximize the quality of life for the graduate student community at Caltech." The GSC interacts with the institute's administrative bodies to put forward the interests of the student body.

Club Night USC Mixer Friday 10.19
what are you doing Friday night? GUSH? me too; what about after? how about this: let's go to an LA nightclub!
here's what the GSC has done to make it as easy as possible:
1. after the GUSH, get on a bus and get transported to V-Lounge in Santa Monica
2. get off the bus, walk into the club
3. mix and mingle with LA nightclub folk and USC grad students, or hang out with your tried-n-true Caltech friends
4. get back on the bus and go home
reserve your spot outside Chandler during lunch Wed-Fri for $15 (less than the cost of the cover alone at most clubs ...) Bring cash, check, or your student ID card to swipe the charge to your bursar account

Art Center and Caltech are buying bulk tickets to the Moonlight Rollerway. Email ronnie@its to reserve your spot, but be sure to include "Art Center Mixer" in the subject. GSC covers your ticket and will help organize carpools

Oct 19: USC/Caltech Club Night Mixer
USC and Caltech are renting out a downtown club (tba) and busing students to go out and mingle. Lookout for sign-ups outside Chandler soon! A $15 fee will get you bus transportation and entrance to the club. The rest is up to you!

Welcome to Caltech. We hope you enjoyed NSO week and that you are adjusted to real life at Caltech this week. If you are interested in joining the GSC, come to our board meeting Thursday Oct 4 at 12pm in the second floor of Winnett.

GSC and Dining are working to bring you a Caltech discount at off-campus locations, similar
