Jazz is my favorite genre, without question.  You can probably tell, just from the size of my collection.  There is something special about jazz that sets it apart from all others in my opinion.  I think that part of it is the sheer variation that you find within the genre.  The only other genre that comes close is classical; however, classical pieces tend to be too long and too subtle for many people.  Another reason that I love jazz is that it is perhaps the only music truly born in America.  It doesn't hurt that I'm a jazz saxophone player, too.  So, take a look below if you're interested in what I have.  A list of my favorite artists would be pointless, since it would basically cover this whole list, but here are some of my absolute favorites: Cannonball Adderley, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Medeski Martin & Wood, Charles Mingus, and Jimmy Smith.
