HAPPENSTANCE is an innovative examination of chaos theory in action, as the film follows a dozen or so character whose tiniest and seemingly most random gestures create ripples and waves in other people's lives. The film follows the lives of a homeless man, a young appliance store clerk, her female roommate, a barfly, a resourceful young man on his way to a job interview, a man who's two-timing his wife and a handful of other characters who semi-intersect in the course of one long day in Paris.

An ensemble cast comprised of the beautiful, Cesar-winning actress Audrey Tautou (Amélie, Venus Beauty Institute); Faudel, a popular rising star of the Algerian Rai music tradition; and a host of other talented actors portray people whose lives cross connect in a panoply of "coincidences."
