The Housing Maintenance Department has casement style air conditioning units for sale. These casement style a/c units are designed for the narrow width of our on-campus casement windows, but will also work in some off-campus areas. Off-Campus purchases or installations will require special approval from the Maintenance Coordinator.

Whether you purchase your own and regardless of location, all a/c units must be installed either by the Physical Plant Department or Housing Maintenance staff. The reason for this is to provide a safe, durable installation that does not create additional facility problems in the short and long term.

Housing Maintenance is constantly shopping for the best price for these casement style units. Because they are a specialty item, they cost more than the standard window a/c unit. Currently we are offering the following model:

The Fedder's 10,000 b.t.u. unit from AA Feder's

This unit includes 10,000 BTU Cool Slider/Casement A/C 9.5 EER New Model w/ Remote Unit Dimensions:14 1/2"w, 20 1/2"h, 22 5/8"d.

The current cost for the 10,000 btu unit is $434.00 installed. This is a $334.00 a/c purchasing fee + $100.00 installation fee. Any and all additional labor costs associated with installation and/or removal after vacating of room will be billed to purchaser.
