I am a fifth year graduate student  at Caltech.  I work for Dr. Nate Lewis on all things concerning solar energy conversion with silicon microwires.  I am also a Resident Associate for the Catalina apartment complex.  In my spare time I help run the Caltech Community Garden and try to take advantage of the great outdoors here in southern California.

My past lives have included fermenting recombinant organisms to make vaccines, making biodiesel from used vegetable oil, government consulting on biofuels, bonding single crystal silicon to glass, investigating the genomics of anaerobic bacteria, designing photocatalytic reactors to remove MTBE from ground water, painting houses, lifeguarding, and cleaning lemur cages.
