Steve Lunny - TRW

Steve Lunny is currently the Director of Technology Planning and Resource Allocation within TRW's Space & Electronics Group. In this role, Steve is responsible for both near-term and far-term technology assessment and competitive analysis and technology investment and insertion planning. Additionally, Steve is responsible for the allocation and management of the discretionary resources (internal research & development, bid & proposal, capital, and long range marketing) for technology, new business opportunities, and on-going business opportunities across the six divisions comprising S&EG. Steve also recently led the S&EG e-business strategy team, defining the overall vision and near-term implementation objectives for e-business within S&EG.

Prior to these S&EG staff roles, Steve was in the Electronics & Technology Division of S&EG where he most recently managed the System Engineering Integration and Test Center (SEITC). The center is composed of approximately 300 technical and support personnel who provide communication system engineering, test engineering, and integration expertise for all of TRW's space and ground-based communication systems projects. Previously, Steve has held technical performer and project management roles within the Payload Systems Engineering and Missions System Engineering project and new business areas within the defense systems, data links, and communication systems business areas of TRW. Steve has also held previous functional management roles of Section Head and Department Manager of the Communication Systems Department within SEITC.

Steve joined TRW in 1984 after completing his Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
