• 10-1-07. I am currently working on the note on Thurston's proof of the congruence subgroup problem for Mod(S_{0,n}). This is the third known proof of this (one is by Asada from 2001).
• 10-1-07. The forthcoming articles "Controlling manifold covers of arithmetic orbifolds" and "The genus spectrum of a hyperbolic 3-manifold" are essentially complete and should appear here soon.
• 10-1-07. The paper with Leininger, Neumann, and Reid has essentially been accepted by IMRN.
• 7-23-07. I hope to post a note on Thurston's approach to the congruence subgroup problem for the pure braid groups soon. Boggi has an article on this subject, though as it currently stands, there are some issues with his approach.
• 7-23-07. I hope to have a revised version of "Constructing isospectral manifolds" in the next few months. This version should be much easier to read and hopefully free of technical errors.
• 7-23-07. Lars Louder and I have some results of ranks of intersections free subgroups of a free group based on information about the rank of their join (Richard Kent mentions this at his webpage). I doubt that Lars and I will write this up. Richard Kent has a project on this topic and there doesn't really need to be two papers on this. Perhaps if either Lars or I get time, a note will appear here on our approach which is different from Richard's approach.
• 7-23-07. The most recent project with Alan Reid on genera spectra should appear within a month.
• 7-23-07. "Controlling manifold covers of arithmetic orbifolds" is essentially ready to post. The main result of the article is an algebraic result that generalizes Selberg's lemma on the existence of manifold covers (hence the title of the article).
• 6-22-2007. Listed "Controlling manifold covers of arithmetic orbifolds". This is recent and thus not very stable as of yet.
• 6-1-2007. I am done with my year long vacation from math. Its nice to be back.
