Cellular and biochemical analysis of mitochondrial dynamics

Postdoctoral positions are available for the study of the mechanism and function of proteins that mediate the fusion and division of mitochondria.  Candidates should have a PhD degree and strong research experience in molecular biology and cell biology or biochemistry. Depending on the background of the candidate, a wide range of projects are available; we use many approaches, including biochemistry, structural biology, cell biology, and mouse and yeast genetics.

More details of our research program are available on this website and in our recent publications.  Our lab is located in the Broad Center in the Division of Biology at the California Institute of Technology (Pasadena, CA, USA).

Interested candidates should send their curriculum vitae, a statement of research interests, and the names of 3 references to David Chan at dchan@caltech.edu.
