Do you know that
- CaltechC-Soccer-Team
(CCST) is a Chinese soccer group with members from the communities
in and around
Caltech. It is supported by CaltechC,
with its goal set to enable soccer fans around to enjoy the pleasure of
soccer as well as to develop friendship among one another.
- Based on the principle of teamwork, CCST try to divide the "team
business" among all of its members. The team is operated by a 3-member
team executive committee, which includes a leader,
a captain,
and a vice-captain.
- The leader
serves a 1-year term, with his duty/authority including
- Taking charge of funds / revenues / expenditures
- Raising money inside the team if necessary
- Maintaining CCST webpage
- Keeping statistics of game results / member attendance
- The captain
serves a 1-quarter (1/4 year) term, with his duty/authority including
- Making decision for registering/joining leagues and
tournaments
- Organizing friendly games
- Grabbing people for games and training sessions.
- Calling for team meetings when necessary
- Washing team jerseys after each game
- The vice-captain
serves a 1-quarter (1/4 year) term, with his duty/authority including
- Supplying drinks for each game
- Serve the full duty of a captain in case the captain is absent
- The committee election should be
held annually to generate one leader
and four
pairs of captain/vice-captain.
The following rules apply to the election:
- The leader can NOT serve continuous terms.
- No limit for the re-election of captains and vice-captains, but
we prefer to giving people with less experience in the team committee
more chance to be elected.
- In case there are fewer than
9 attendants in the election, members who do not
show up are subjected to being appointed to the committee without
consultation.
