Welcome to Bolin's homepage! Hopefully you can find some (very limited) useful information about me here. Starting from May 2016, I joined the Kavli Nanoscience Institute at Caltech as a KNI Prize Postdoctoral Fellow, hosted by Prof. Ahmed Zewail. My research at Caltech focuses on studying microscopic energy carrier dynamics with ultrafast electron and optical probes. I received my PhD in Mechanical Engineering at MIT in March 2016, supervised by Prof. Gang Chen. My PhD thesis focused on developing theoretical, computational and experimental techniques to understand and detect the interaction and transport of microscopic energy carriers, such as electrons, phonons and magnons, in thermoelectric materials. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering in Tsinghua University, Beijing, in 2010, and my undergraduate thesis was on a fabrication technique of superconductive circuits. I received my MS degree in Mechanical Engineering at MIT, in 2012, with my thesis focusing on designing invisible nanoparticles with regard to electron transport. Here is my brief CV in PDF.

Here is a list of my publications, preprints and conference presentations. Alternatively you can visit my Google Scholar page for more information.
