me Welcome to the website of Brad Dickerson. I am currently an NSF Postdoctoral Research Fellow and California Alliance AGEP Fellow in Michael Dickinson's lab at Caltech. I conducted my graduate work in Tom Daniel's lab at the University of Washington. My research is at the interface of neurobiology, biomechanics, and behavior and uses insect flight combined with state-of-the-art genetic and imaging techniques to understand the relationship between locomotion and neural circuit function.

News: I am excited to announce that as of July of 2019, I will start as an Assistant Professor in the Biology Department of UNC Chapel Hill! With colleagues in biomechanics and neuroscience alike, it is a wonderful fit for the kind of work I do. Check out the updated research page to explore future projects and opportunities.
