The Modern Jive Group exists primarily as an informal email-list. The list was born in the summer of 2004 when avid dancers just could not get enough modern jive in their system and would feel like dancing at any given point! Without much planning and little notice, any cerocoholic itching to dance will send an email for an impromptu modern jive party... and without fail, lots of people would turn up and we'd have a great dance party in our hands!! Modern jive is usually taught once a year as part of the CBDC class series, and in the down time, we hold occasional workshops, but of course what we are all about is the spontaneous cerocing that breaks out anywhere on campus  -- outdoors in the BI courtyard, in Winnett, the Cat Rec Rooms... basically anywhere there is space to dance at any given time -- late afternoons, evenings, late nights, even dawn, and before & after drinks... anytime the bug hits.
