| Description: | We will have a mix of ballroom and social dance music. Our DJs will be
happy to take any other specific requests. Come and dance with students
from Caltech and other local colleges, meet new people and enjoy free
snacks and drinks. Since a number of the social dancers will likely be going to Do Something Blue later, we'll be loading more of the social music towards the beginning of the evening (first ~90 minutes). There will also be quite a bit of music that you can dance both ballroom and social dances to, but remember, if you're dancing a stationary/social dance try to stay near the center of the room so travelling dancers can move around the periphery! |

It's the perfect opportunity to meet new people and to say adios to some :) PS: do invite your other friends, dancing or non-dancing. It will be fun. |
| Dress: | For men and ladies, formal wear is highly encouraged. Shoes should not have narrow heels; thick heels are acceptable, and Cuban heels or dance slippers are encouraged. |
The California Institute of Technology and Occidental College present their annual
Viennese Waltz Night
| When: | Saturday, February 13th, 8:00 pm - 11:30 pm with the opening Grand March commencing at 8:15 pm. |

| Description: | An evening of Viennese waltzes and a few polkas with music by the Caltech-Occidental Chamber Orchestra and performances by the Occidental Folk & Historical Dance Troupe. There will also be a short class in polka and Viennese waltz during the first break in dancing and a workshop in American Style Viennese Waltz on Feb 6. |

For men, white tie is preferable, and formal wear is highly
encouraged. One should at minimum wear a shirt and tie. |
