Four weeks of Viennese Waltz and Paso Doble (1st hour Viennese Waltz, 2nd hour Paso Doble).
Viennese Waltz: The oldest of all Ballroom Dances, the elegant Viennese Waltz emerges from the 18th century. At a very fast tempo, the dance
progresses around the floor in a counter-clockwise direction. The International style Viennese Waltz's syllabus is limited to very few steps: Natural and
Reverse Turns, Changes, Fleckerls and Contra Checks.
Paso Doble: This Spanish flavored dance was developed in Southern France. Mostly danced competitively, the Paso Doble mimics the Spanish
bullfight. The man plays the role of the matador and the woman is his cape and sometimes the bull itself. |
