The course description:
The course will be an introduction to the geometry of schemes. The following materials will be covered:
Affine schemes, sheaves, schemes, separated and proper morphisms, divisors, projective morphisms and differentials.

Homework:
Homework 1 : Due Friday January 18th (Do at least three by this date).
Homework 2 : Due Friday January 25th (Do at least three by this date).
Homework 3: Hartshorne Chapter II, Exercise 5.1 a) b) c), 5.3, 5.6 a) b): Due Friday February 1st.
Homework 4: Hartshorne Chapter II, Exercise 2.7, 2.8, 5.8: Due Friday February 8th.
Homework 5: Hartshorne Chapter II, Exercise 4.6, 4.8: Due Friday February 15th.
Homework 6: Hartshorne Chapter II, Exercise 5.5, 5.17: Due Friday February 22nd. Some of them have been done in class. Do as many parts as you can by this date.
Homework 7: Hartshorne Chapter II, Exercise 2.14, 3.12, 4.9: Due Friday February 29th. Do as many parts as you can by this date.
