Phase-locked loop (PLL) microwave frequency control block-diagram
The phase-locked loop technique allows us to lock a high stability NIST microwave synthesizer to the resonant frequency of the high-Q superconducting cavity. The frequency of the synthesizer can be compared to an atomic frequency source (or any other availible reference) for characterization of the SCSO system.
