Club InformationDuring the last few years, the number of BEM majors at Caltech has skyrocketed. Consulting and other finance-related firms' interest in Caltech graduates have been steadily increasing as these firms come to appreciate the value of a Caltech education. Student interest in consulting and management has also grown. In order to promote business at Caltech, a Business, Economics & Management (BEM) Club is forming. Its goals are networking, learning, informing, recruiting, and feedback. We hope to provide a valuable connection to, and forum for, business-minded Techers. The BEM club hosts speakers on various topics, including potential employers, monthly. Some speakers help inform us about career choices or help us prepare for interviews. Others will complement education. The Club will also create a forum to provide feedback to the faculty in order to improve existing classes and add other classes to the relatively new BEM major. Finally, the Club will help raise the visibility of business-oriented Caltech students to the outside world. Goals:
